Dr. Ernesto Escobedo, will be presenting how walk through the process of EEOC mediation including addressing the following topics:

• Step-by-step process for EEOC mediation
• Confidentiality and enforcement
• Real-world impact mediation by numbers
• Challenges and misconceptions
• Best practices for successful mediation

About the Speaker:

Dr. Ernesto Escobedo, served as President of San Antonio SHRM in 2023 and currently serves on the board of the Texas Exes Alumni Association of the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his MBA from UT Austin in 1992.

With more than 30 years of public service at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and has extensive experience conducting mediations and providing training on federal employment laws.

As a first-generation graduate, he has achieved multiple academic milestones, earning a BBA, an MBA, and completing both a PhD and a JD Executive Program. He is also an approved SHRM instructor for Certified Professional (CP) and Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification courses.

Beyond his professional work, he is an active member of the Texas Alumni Association. He enjoys playing pickleball and traveling with family and friends.
