Keynote Speaker:

Debbie Lindsey-Opel is a high-energy consultant, motivator, and public speaker whose valuable insights and strategies prepare leaders and their teams for personal, professional, and profitable growth.  As the head of her company, Three Dimensional Development, Debbie helps leaders reframe disruption, engage stakeholders, and become exceptional communicators.  Her popular presentations are co-created, thought-provoking learning experiences.

 

With 30+ years working in people professions, including human resources, politics, public affairs, and public speaking, her focus is on building confidence, communication skills and lasting relationships to elevate performance. She developed Communicators Academy, Media Prep School, and Power Success Now to deliver quality in-house training to build skills for today’s workplace.

General Sessions:

Veronica T. Hunter is a principal in the Houston and Austin, Texas, offices of Jackson Lewis P.C.  Her practice is exclusively focused on management-side labor and employment matters.

Veronica has extensive litigation experience, having defended employers in a broad variety of matters, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, and systemic discrimination. In addition, she regularly counsels clients regarding employment matters, such as investigations, termination and disciplinary actions, compliance audits, and policy development. She also conducts training on prevention of harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and compliance with leave laws.

Before becoming an attorney, Veronica worked in human resources for more than 10 years, including managing the human resources function for the West Coast operations of a multi-national corporation.



Sommer Mason, CCP is an accomplished Compensation and Benefits professional with Project Management experience in various industries such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, Wellness, Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction. She received her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification in 2010 and is highly skilled in leading large-scale projects with significant financial impact.

Sommer’s primary role is to prepare for and present Gallagher’s Human Resources and Compensation resources to prospective clients and is involved in special projects related to Human Resources and Compensation Consulting. Sommer’s strong analytical skills, strategic approach and commitment to excellent customer service makes her a trusted advisor to both clients and her Gallagher team.

Sommer is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Sommer resides near the Baton Rouge area with her husband and two children.

Pamela Carroll is the CEO of Carroll HR Solutions and Texas SHRM District Director.  

Ms. Carroll holds a Master’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas and she is a certificate holder from the Association of Workplace Investigators as well as PHR certified from the Society of Human Resource Management.

Drawing from 20+ years’ experience in corporate, nonprofit and public school HR leadership roles, Pamela has first-hand success while practicing servant, situational, and transformational leadership. She has served as an expert witness for public schools and is an inclusive, results-driven human resources leader who is known for developing high-performing cultures using expertise in employee relations, talent management, workplace mediation and conflict resolution. Pamela is currently the CEO of Carroll HR Solutions, LLC providing transformational HR consulting and impartial, through and timely workplace investigations.
