About the Speaker:

Rich Burns is a former Navy jet pilot with leadership experience including command of Pensacola Naval Air Station. He has an extensive background leading high performing teams in both the public and private sectors.

During his career in the public and private sectors, Rich has coached and trained managers/senior executives in the areas of leadership and organizational excellence with a focus on communications.

​Rich later returned to Texas and joined the University of Texas at Austin as a Director of Human Resources. Rich subsequently took a position in the University as Associate Athletics Director for the Texas Longhorns, a leadership role involving high visibility, and sensitive management issues.
