With the new administration quickly implementing a series of executive orders, Ruben Reyes will share insights on potential legislation and upcoming regulatory changes in 2025 that could affect employer group health and welfare programs.

About the Speaker:

Ruben Reyes, JD, LLM, handles a broad range of group health and welfare benefit plan matters including: plan design, administration, reporting and disclosure requirements, government filings and various federal regulations that impact group plans under ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA. Ruben is a frequent speaker at several state and national professional organizations, such as: Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), HR Houston, and Texas CPA Society. Ruben has also been a guest lecturer on the topic of ERISA and the ACA at U.C. Berkeley, School of Law. As Compliance Counsel, Ruben’s primary focus is on assisting the many regional offices of the South Central Region with day-to-day compliance questions related to health and welfare plans. Ruben’s strong analytical skills and commitment to excellent customer service makes him a trusted advisor to both clients and his Gallagher team
