Marla Moore has over 25 years of employment law experience, almost 17 of which were spent as an in-house labor and employment lawyer managing a host of issues for a major multi-national oil and gas company. By leveraging her significant experience in the corporate world, she now runs her own successful practice focusing primarily on workplace training and investigations. Her clients include companies, non-profits, and governmental institutions.
A large part of Marla’s practice includes training executives, managers, and employees on a range of labor and employment and HR topics. She is a seasoned investigator, having conducted numerous and often complicated internal investigations for her clients over the years.
Marla graduated from Southwestern University, magna cum laude, and received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She is a member of the Employment Law Section of both the Texas State Bar and the Houston Bar Association, and she is a past-President and Treasurer of the American Petroleum Labor Lawyers Association.
Conducting an internal investigation can be tricky even in the best of circumstances, but when your executive is the target, it adds a whole other layer of complexity. In this presentation, Marla will cover everything from how to manage the investigation of a high level employee to spotting deception during questioning to dealing with the media, and more. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation.
HR Learning Objectives include: Risk Management – US Employment Law and Regulations; and Workforce Management – Employee Relations.
