We will be meeting in the Mustang Room in the 3rd floor of the Embassy Suites Corpus Christi on South Padre Island Drive (SPID).
There will also be a virtual option (via zoom) that will begin just before 12:00pm for those that are unable to join us in person. Please note that we will not be recording to distribute to registrants, so plan to join us live for the presentation that day if you choose the virtual option.
Session Description:
This session will primarily focus on the power and control dynamics of Domestic and Sexual Violence. It will also touch on the scope of these issues both nationally as well as in our own community.

About the Speakers:
Edward Salazar, Community Educator, Purple Door
Edward Salazar is retired from the field of probation in 2017, worked for 15 years as a Juvenile Probation Officer and 10 years as an Adult Probation Officer with the 36th, 156th, & 343rd Judicial Districts: Aransas, Bee, Live Oak and McMullen counties. The last 8 years of career served as the Director of Adult Probation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice-1989, Master of Public Administration-2002, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, Texas.
Morea Daley, Community Educator, Purple Door
Morea Daley is originally from Western Washington and has a strong passion for preventing Public Health issues which disproportionately impact women and vulnerable communities. She earned her B.A. in Public Health form the University of Washington in June of 2020 and has worked in healthcare administration for the past 5+ years, including while attending the University. She recently moved to Corpus Christi and became connected with the Purple Door as part of their Prevention and Education Team.
